Finding your edge

Updated: Aug 3, 2019

Brene Brown stipulates the importance of "a culture where discomfort is normal." When you’re on the edge, you’re doing what you need to be doing. At Bush Farm School, we aim for our edge, our uncomfortable areas so that we can grow amazing teachers and children. In permaculture, this is known as the interface where the most interesting events take place. These are often the most valuable, diverse and productive elements in the system. At Bush Farm, by providing our children with risk (climbing trees, in the water, on the farm), they find their edge and we begin to have real conversations.
